The Municipal Provident Fund Center released Notice on Locations of HPF Brick-and-Mortar Offices for Rent Oriented Withdrawal Service in this Municipality of late, in a move to ease the eligibility criteria for rent oriented withdrawal application and processing outside the district where the applicant resides.
Rent oriented housing provident fund withdrawal has upheld the residing district based eligibility criteria for application handling service in the past due to the service outlets’ manpower, site and system constraints, namely, the employee must apply to the service outlet where the rental home is located. In view of the actual demands of the paying units and employees, and the fact that the existing service network has improved in various districts and the county, the municipal provident fund center has decided after deliberation that eligible paying units or employees may opt to apply for rent oriented withdrawal to any district/county management division in this Municipality whichever they find appropriate.
The Notice shall be effective as of 25 July 2016.

To All District/County Management Divisions of the Municipal Provident Fund Management Center:
We have renewed the eligibility criteria for rent oriented withdrawal service as follows in a move to further facilitate and better our services to paying units and employees:
1. Individual Handling
An eligible employee may opt to apply to any district/county management division of Shanghai Provident Fund Management Center for rent oriented withdrawal service with relevant supporting documents as required.
2. Centralized Handling
A paying unit may opt to apply to any district/county management division of Shanghai Provident Fund Management Center for its eligible employees’ rent oriented housing provident fund withdrawal with relevant supporting documents as required.
The Notice shall be effective as of 25 July 2016.
