SPF Center successfully conducted its initial testing drills as scheduled for disaster recovery and backup system of Shanghai housing provident fund information system on 17th August, mainly focusing on SPF Information System’s functional production and disaster recovery tests including frame relay (FR) and EDSL switching, applications pertaining to exchange of data between SPF Center and CCB’s database systems, lending banks and SEG (the mortgage company) accessing the disaster recovery and backup system, and management divisions accessing disaster recovery and backup system. Targeted switching test results have been achieved.

SPF information system’s disaster recovery and backup project, one of SPF Center’s major construction projects for the informatization-focused year 2014, aims to achieve application level disaster recovery and data backup function of the service system mainly by means of construction and renovation of disaster tolerance supportive function, so that the system can be switched to the backup system mode for key housing provident fund services operation recovery within a relatively short period of time, in a quest to ensure frontline services for paying units and employees and nonstop operation of housing provident fund service system’s basic functions once unpredictable disasters occur in the course of operation of the key equipment.

As per schedule, SPF Center shall again conduct tests in September and October such as data synchronization between the main system and the backup system, sand table simulation and total system switching test, and make adjustment and improvement of the system functionality based on the test results for basic completion within the year.
