July 1 marked the beginning of housing provident fund payment base adjustment for 2014, as required to take an online approach on a consolidated basis for the first time. Adequate preparations were made so that online basis adjustment was carried out smoothly. As of 5 pm on the first adjustment day, basis adjustment for over 10,000 units and over 300,000 employee accounts had been completed, comprising housing provident fund’s 10,088 paying units and 310,000 employee accounts, and additional housing provident fund’s 1,198 paying units and 58,700 employee accounts.

 The online approach has significantly upgraded the traditional ways of basis adjustment, eliminating the queue-and-wait stress at various housing provident fund services outlets by making online accesses available for housing provident fund paying units’ completion of annual basis adjustment without leaving their working location. The Center hereby reminds all units that online approach should be adopted as of this year for basis adjustment.
