Cumulative SPF collection as of 24^th September 2013 exceeded 400 billion yuan to hit 400.033 billion yuan, which has been hailed as a new breakthrough ascribed to correct leadership of the municipal party committee and the municipal government, coupled with concerted efforts of all the cadres and employees of SPFMC in recent years to boost housing provident fund system coverage in an innovation-oriented approach to transformational development.

Housing provident fund has been playing a positive role in bolstering employees' housing consumption of the municipality and boosting security housing construction amid vigorous growth of its collection amount. Up to the present time, cumulative withdrawal of provident fund due to housing consumption (including withdrawal of provident fund due to loan repayment, housing rental or property service charges payment) amounted to 175.7 billion yuan; a cumulative total of 349.7 billion yuan provident fund home loans (including personal loans for purchase of joint-ownership housing) have been lent out to 1.8 million employee households, in support of a total building area of 160 million square meters; a cumulative total of 7 billion yuan loans have been issued for municipal security housing projects.
