The municipality-wide law enforcement inspection of PF payment entered its sampling inspection stage in late June as per requirements in Notice on Launching of Law Enforcement Inspection of HPF Payment in the Municipality issued by Shanghai HPF Management Committee, Shanghai Municipal Trade Union and SPFMC. SPFMC formed a coalition with municipal and district/county trade unions, and organized 9 law enforcement inspection teams in a move to conduct sampling law enforcement inspection of PF payment of a portion of units in the municipality.

The sampling inspection revealed a majority of units are compliant with HPF account opening and payment requirements , however, a certain proportion of the units failed to conform to the regulations, for instance, failure to have unit account or employee accounts opened, or failure to make due and full PF payment for all the staff. SPFMC urged units concerned to carry out prudent self-checking and self-correction, and proactively align themselves with the inspection drive. Those units that have not filled in and submitted the self-checking report should do so as soon as possible. Those units that do not conform to the prevailing HPF payment policies and regulations should make self-corrections and take the initiative to rectify their mistakes where necessary.
